KALAKTANG, Mar 23: Arunachal’s first elected MP and former minister RK Khrimey on Saturday announced that he will not be contesting the 2019 election from Kalaktang, and extended his support to BJP candidate and former speaker TN Thongdok.
Khrimey, who is a senior BJP leader and a BJP national council member, said, “I have discussed with the party high command, and have decided to work for the party under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pema Khandu. We will ensure the victory of Kiren Rijiju and Thongdok.”
