ITANAGAR, Apr 16: The All Arunachal Contractor’s Welfare Association (AACWA) has requested the finance secretary not to halt government transaction and allow banks and treasuries to function smoothly, in the interest of the contractor community.
Demanding cancellation of the government order issued on 15 April, AACWA president Nabam Akin Hina said the state government should not cause “unnecessary harassment to the contractors” by issuing the order to halt government transaction.
Alleging that the finance department “unnecessarily” issued the order for halting government transaction, Hina said “hard earned contractors’ cheques, bankers’ cheque and some of the bills were halted at various treasury offices, due to which contractors are facing financial crunch.”
