ITANAGAR, Jun 21: The All Arunachal Trained Unemployed Health Assistant Association has requested the state government to create posts of junior health assistants.
In a representation to the chief minister, the association on Friday claimed that there is a requirement of over 800 health assistants in the health department.
“Only 328 health assistants have been appointed in the DHS, the NHM and the health & family welfare department while the remaining 516 posts are lying vacant,” the association said.
It said there are more than 300 trained unemployed health assistants in the state.
