PASIGHAT, Jun 25: The fisheries development department distributed advanced fingerlings to 450 fish farmers of East Siang district here on 24 June.
ADC Tatdo Borang, who was also present during the distribution, encouraged the farmers to take up commercial fish-farming, saying East Siang has vast potential in pisciculture.
“Commercial fish-farming has already been established as a profitable business all over the world, providing gainful employment to a large number of people,” he said.
Borang commended DFDO Obuk Mize and his team of officials for making “extra effort” to promote pisiculture in the district. (DIPRO)
