ITANAGAR, Nov 1: Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) on Friday organized a mini-marathon among its students to mark the Vigilance Week, and as part of the annual College Week scheduled to begin on 4 November.
The race, themed ‘Run India run, health is wealth’, was flagged off by DNGC Principal Dr NT Rikam from Hollongi, and culminated at the Jubilee Hall of the college.
Khyoda Mark, Heli Tana Tara and Lingdum Mama, all BA third semester students, won the first, second and the third position, respectively in the boys’ category of the race.
In the girls’ category, Biki Yatang of BA third semester won the race. Ling Borang of BA third semester and Charu Meri of BA first semester came in second and third, respectively.
Ninety-seven runners, including 41 girls, participated in the race.
