ZIRO, Nov 17: The All Lower Subansiri District Students’ Union has deferred its proposed 36-hour district bandh, which had been scheduled to be imposed from 19 November, for 10 days, following assurance from the district administration to look into the union’s charter of demands.
The union, however, said it would resume its protest if the state government and the district administration fail to address its demands within 10 days.
The union has been protesting against non-fulfillment of various demands, which include “arrest of all the fake and forged beneficiaries of the Trans-Arunachal Highway compensation from Potin to Pamluk stretch,” and other related issues.
