HIJA, Dec 9: The district-level football and volleyball tournaments for the 4th Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy (HDMT) were played at the government higher secondary school playground here in Lower Subansiri district.
Yazali block won the boys’ and the girls’ football tournaments, as well as the girls’ volleyball tournament, while Pistana block won the boys’ volleyball tournament.
Hari and Hong blocks were the runners-up in the boys’ and the girls’ football, respectively, while Bula block was the runner-up in the boys’ volleyball tournament.
Bath Dodum and Likha Chilli were adjudged the best football and volleyball player, respectively, in the men’s category, and Toko Yaje and Nabum Yai were awarded the prizes for the best female football and volleyball player, respectively.
ADC Nending Chatung and AVP general secretary Punyo Millo gave away the prizes to the winners, the runners-up and the individual achievers. (DIPRO)
