PASIGHAT, Jan 28: Members of the East Siang district unit of the All Arunachal Pradesh Workers’ Union (AAPWU) distributed fruits among the patients at the Bakin Pertin general hospital here on Republic Day.
The functionaries of the AAPWU unit, led by its president Mipet Tayeng and general secretary Ajoy Saroh, distributed about a quintal of apples and other fruits among the 150 patients confined to hospital beds.
“Our members always help the poor and the needy ones, based on our capacity. We earlier gave aid to fire victims and flood-hit families,” Tayeng said.
