CHOWKHAM, Feb 12: A three-week skill development training on decorative candle making for self help group members concluded here in Namsai district on Wednesday with distribution of certificates and kits among the trainees.
Organised by the department of Industries, Namsai, the training was sponsored under the MLA Local Area Development fund of Chowkham with technical support from the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Guwahati.
Addressing the valedictory function of the training, Chowkham EAC Rani Perme stressed on the importance of producing quality products and urged them to come up with innovative designs so that the products may compete with others in the market.
NSIC Assistant Manager RK Singh also highlighted the probability for success in candle making business and assured all possible help to the SHGs.
Namsai ADI BD Dey also spoke on the occasion.
