ITANAGAR, Apr 1: Several conscientious citizens have urged the state government to carry out sanitization drives in the capital complex, if the not the entire state.
“Cleaning and sanitization of the township is of utmost importance in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak, and the government should start the drive without any further delay,” said Karate Association of India president Likha Tara.
He said there should not be any paucity of fund or disinfectants for carrying out such drives.
Expressing serious concern over the detection of several Covid-19 positive cases in the neighbouring state, Tara urged the government to deploy sufficient security personnel at all the check gates and the porous boundary areas, so that no one can sneak into the state’s territory.
Arunachal Christian Forum president Toko Teki also emphasized on total sanitization, covering all the sectors, colonies, and vehicles carrying essential services.
He suggested disinfecting vehicles carrying essential goods returning from Assam at the check gates.
