ACF urges believers to enforce lockdown, prevent gathering

ITANAGAR, Apr 1: Arunachal Christian Forum [ACF] president Toko Teki has appealed to believers and religious leaders to strictly enforce the lockdown at all religious places and prevent any form of gathering.
He made this appeal after receiving a letter from National Commission for Minorities Chairman, Syed Ghayorul Hasan Rizvi, stating that the event held in Nizamuddin area of Delhi, where a jamaat was organized, has done major damage to the government’s efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19.
“This amounts to serious violation of the lockdown and advisory to not hold any congregation at any religious places and educational institutions. This has put the lives of the fellow citizens at risk,” the letter read.
The ACF president urged believers to create awareness among fellow citizens of the emerging situation, respect the lockdown, and prevent gatherings at places of worship.
