ITANAGAR, Aug 29: The Sessions Court of Yupia has on Tuesday fixed September 1 next as the date for pronouncement of judgment regarding the bail petition of accused Tax and Excise Joint Commissioner, Tani Jongkey in the alleged child molestation case.
The police have already filed a charge sheet in this regard.
The accused has been charged under section 341, 354 and section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 for alleged sexual assault on a 11 year old girl on June 2 last. He could serve three to five years of imprisonment if found guilty.
