DC inspects damaged road

ITANAGAR, Aug 31: A team led by Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner, Prince Dhawan on Thursday inspected the damaged link road connecting Dudang Namchang Village.
The team explored the possibilities of restoring the road, which is the only lifeline of the villagers. The link road was damaged by flash floods owing to incessant rains a few days earlier.
Stressing on the urgent need for road connectivity, the DC directed the EE RWD to submit a Detailed Project Report for construction of the link road to Dudang Village by constructing a counter fort retaining wall.
The DC assured that the project will be given top priority and DPR will be submitted to state government for consideration.
The DC also interacted with the locals during the visit and assured them that the restoration work would start once fund is sanctioned.
Earlier, RWD EE Techi Jobi also suggested that a counter fort retaining wall should be constructed in between Duda Village and Adi- Basti (Abotani Village) for durability of the road.
Later, the DC inaugurated Smart Classroom project at Government ME School in Karsingsa. He also visited the class rooms to get first hand information of the condition of the school.
During the programme, teacher of Government ME School Karsingsa, KipaYamisa carried out a demonstration of smart classes.
