ITANAGAR, Sep 1: The Centre for Entrepreneurship, Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmeda-bad organized a three days “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp”, which concluded at RGU on Friday.
The camp was sponsored by National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
In his inaugural address, RGU Vice Chancellor Professor Tamo Mibang said, “It’s time to create jobs and not runs for jobs”.
Highlighting the fast development taking place in the world, Professor Mibang said, “It is with entrepreneurial commitment, we can speed up development in Arunachal Pradesh. Gone are those days wherein one easily gets a government job. Our state of Arunachal Pradesh is blessed with extensive land mass and a small population, therefore, we can find all kinds of inspiration in starting up any entrepreneurial ventures.” He called upon the participants to skill themselves and start enterprises suitable for Arunachal Pradesh’s conditions.
Professor R Tamuli, Registrar in-charge and Controller of Examination of the University encourage participants to take up entrepreneurship as their future career option.
The three-day workshop deliberated on many front ranging from the basics of what is entrepreneurship to wider areas of creating opportunities.
Sessions were held, wherein the participants could identify sustainable business models which are technical in nature. It also explores various other bio-resources which are abundantly available in the state.
The workshop concluded with a field visit to Renu Beverages, which is one of the leading beverages companies of the state. One of the popular products among them is the Orchid mineral water.
