ITANAGAR, Sep 3: A decomposed dead body, which is yet to be unidentified has been recovered from Itanagar-Hollongi road. The police said that body of the person with his hands tied was found near a stream about 4 km from Hollongi gate by four students last evening who reported it to the head GB of Hollongi, who further informed the OC of Balijan Police Station.
The police have sent the body to the hospital for postmortem.
SP Tumme Amo said that police could not find anything from the body or the surrounding area to establish the identity of the deceased.
He said that the man had been wearing a brass bangle on his right wrist and a blue T-shirt, while red nylon round rope and blue flat rope were used to tie his hands.
The body though decomposed beyond recognition appears to be that of someone under 40, of strong built and average height and it appears that he was a victim of a murder, the police said.
