Implement CVC order: AACWA

ITANAGAR, Sep 7: The All Arunachal Contractors Welfare Association (AACWA), in a representation to the Chief Secretary, has requested for implementation of the order of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) regarding tendering process.
In its representation, the Association said, the CVC in its order No. 68/10/05 had instructed all Chief Vigilance officers of states stating that all tendering authorities should have negotiation with L-l (Lowest one).
Claiming that the Central Public Work department (CPWD) manual had also clearly indicated the similar tendering process, the Association alleged that some tendering authorities in the state were violating the CVC order and directly awarding tender work on pick and choose basis.
The Association has appealed to the Chief Secretary to issue instructions to all chief engineers of working departments and other government agencies to strictly follow the CVC instruction to root out corruption.
