AAPPTF opposes levying of taxes on goods vehicle

PASIGHAT, Sep 11: The All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) strongly opposed the taxes levied on goods vehicles in check gates across the state by the municipalities.
The AAPPTF president said this while addressing the second general conference of the Federation here on Monday.
In his speech, Sonam gave priority to welfare of people associated with the Federation. He also informed about schemes like ‘Vahan Project” and how to avail it.
East Siang District Tourism Officer, W Wanchu advised owners to keep documents of their vehicles up-to-date and separate colours for cabs and commercial vehicles to distinguish it from other vehicles.
The delegates from various associations and unions, including All Pasighat Autorickshaw Welfare Association, All East Siang Tata Mobile Welfare Association, All East Siang Sumo and Winger Association, All East Siang Magic and Trekker Union, and Pasighat Truck Union attended the conference and submitted memoranda to the Federation highlighting their various grievances.
