ITANAGAR, Sep 13: The Central Executive Committee of Arunachal Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (CEC ARMSATA) has decided to launch indefinite pen down strike from Thursday onwards, seeking early release of the five months’ pending salary.
In a release, the ARMSATA informed that even after completion of the two phases of democratic movement, the state government is yet to release the pending salary.
The district units under the banner of CEC ARMSATA had launched a state wide movement first on September 5 and donned black badges and bands as a mark of silent protest on Teacher’s Day.
In the second phase, a state wide dharna was held outside all DC and DDSE offices of respective districts.
“Without getting any positive result from the authority we are forced to launch the indefinite pen down strike,” stated the CEC ARMSATA.
