AALO, Sep 13: The first Jummi Ete Cup Football Tournament for veteran players was kicked off by BEO and former District Sports Association (DSA) Secretary Kento Ngomdir here on Tuesday.
Many players of yesteryears, including few who represented the state in Subroto Cup, are participating in the tournament.
The tournament has been sponsored by Jumge Ete in memory of his late mother Jummi Ete and organized by District Sports Association.
Wife of late Kijum Ete of Bene village, Jummi was a simple mother, who worked hard to bring up her five children, two of whom are now engineers.
Opening match was played between Aalo Veteran Football Club and Aalo United Football Club. (DIPRO)
