Bilat beat Siang Rovers 2-1 in opener
PASIGHAT, Sep 16: Defending champions Bilat FC beat Siang Rovers 2-1 in the opening match of the 3rd Lik Moyong Memorial Football Championship, which kicked off at Mirem village on Friday.
The Bilat team was offered a penalty kick in the 44th minute and Tatem Taloh did not miss the spot kick to put his team ahead (1-0). Lenin Jamoh scored in 55th minute to restore the parity (1-1).
When the match was heading for extra-time, Tajing Siram struck the winning goal in the dying moments of the match.
The opening ceremony was attended by Pasighat West MLA and Patliamentary Secretary (Agri & Fisheries) Tatung Jamoh and ZPM, Ruksin Anchal Block Tonggeng Panyang.
The final match of the tournament organized by Mirem Sports Association is scheduled to be played on October 5.
