AALO, Sep 20: The West Siang District Health Society launched the National De-worming Day in the district, beginning with Government Higher Secondary School, Kamba on September 18.
DMO Dr Nyage Geyi administered albendazole tablet to a standard one student of the school to mark the formal launching.
Dr Geyi highlighted about the national de-worming campaign and of the need to take de-worming tablets periodically.
On the occasion, he announced scholarship of Rs 10,000 each for the toppers of GHSS, Kamba in AISSCE & AISSE from his side for the next three years. However, the scholarship will be awarded to the students hailing from Darak/ Kamba circle.
District health officials, medical officer (in-charge) of Kamba CHC, students and teaching staff of the school were present on the occasion. (DIPRO)
