AALO, Sept 22: The Military Station, Aalo has observed 9th Martyrdom of Kirti Chakra NK Tape Yajo in presence of Col Jitendra Singh, Adm. Commandant, Army officers from various units. The programe was organised by 1st Bihar Unit, Bogdo at his residence on Friday.
The family members of late Yajo, DSP Aalo D W Thungon and other officers also paid floral tribute to Kirti Charka Yajo on the occasion.
Amarveer NK Tape Yajo was decorated soldier with 50 years of Independence Anniversary Army Medal, Vishesh Seva Medal with clasp Bhutan, Special Service Medal with clasp Surakshya, Op Rakshak, High Altitude Medal and Nine Years long Service Medal.
He was posthumously honoured with Kirti Chakra, one of the highest Gallantry Awards in the country. DIRPO
