New PWD office building inaugurated

KHONSA, Sep 27: The office building of the Public Works Department (PWD), Khonsa division was inaugurated by Khonsa East MLA and Chairman of Arunachal Pradesh Medicinal Plant Board, Wanglam Sawin on Wednesday.
Speaking after the inauguration of the office building, Sawin said, “Today is a happy moment for all of us as we got a beautiful PWD division office. And at the same, it is also sad moment as most energetic, innovative and dedicated Executive Engineer (PWD) SK Badalia is retiring on superannuation on September 30.”
Terming Badalia as one of the best EEs (PWD) ever posted in Tirap, Sawin urged his successor to work in the same spirit in the interest of public service.
He further urged all departmental heads to implement all development schemes/projects as per government guidelines to avoid public complaint.
The office building was constructed at the cost of Rs 1.80 crore and funded under SPA-2013, EE Badalia informed. He also said that the office of the Superintending Engineer will start functioning from this office temporary till regular building for SE office is sanctioned.
Tirap SP Jitendra Kumar Meena, Colonel Virender Siddhu, CO 16 AR, HoDs, PRI leaders and public of Khonsa attended the programme. (DIPRO)
