RUKSIN, Sep 30: Head Gaon Burah of Depi village in East Siang district, Tapur Tali has passed away at his residence on Thursday last.
He was 73 and suffered from prolonged illness.
He has left behind his wife, four sons and three daughters.
Born on 19 March, 1944, Tali acquired his primary and secondary education at Pasighat. He was appointed as Depi village Gaon Burah in 1987 and subsequently promoted to Head Gaon Burah.
The Depi-Detak Gaon Burah Association and Nari unit of Adi Baane Kebang has deeply mourned the untimely demise of Head Gaon Burah Tapur Tali and prayed to the Almighty for peace of the departed soul.
The General Secretary of Gaon Burah Association, Onang Eko in a message said that late HGB Tali was actively involved in social works and they have lost a good leader.
