APETA seeks intervention

ITANAGAR, Oct 6: In a representation to the Secretary Education, GoAP, the All Arunachal Pradesh Elementary Teachers Association (AAPETA) has on Friday sought his intervention into unauthorized deduction of Rs. 500 from the pay roll of each Elementary teacher of Capital Complex and demanded disciplinary action against erring officials.
The Association claimed that the Capital Complex DDSE deducted Rs. 500 in terms of subscription from pay rolls of each Elementary teacher of Capital Complex in September 2017 without verification as per central civil service (Recognition of Service Association Rules 1993). ‘Any subscription of members of association is to be deducted from pay rolls on written consent of the official in favour of a particular association,’ it stated and claimed that the deduction was done as per the direction of Arunachal Teacher Association (ATA) without receipt of letter of authorization signed by the concerned teachers.
Terming the move as illegal and a violation of conduct rules on the part of the deducting authority, the Association has further threatened to take legal action.
