ITANAGAR, Oct 13: State’s top shuttler Laa Talar’s long aspiration to train in a foreign country has finally been fulfilled thanks to financial assistance provided by Minister UD Nabam Rebia.
Talar is currently under-going an eight-month coaching/training at Copenhagen, Denmark, one of the world’s badminton powerhouses.
Talar got the chance to train in Littoral Club of Copenhagen at the invitation of the Managing Director of the Club.
Talar had last year played for the Club in European Club Championship. He got the invitation after the MD of the Club was impressed by his performance during the championship.
Rebia personally met Talar before his departure to Copenhagen and wished him a successful career in Badminton.
Meanwhile, Talar, in a letter from Copenhagen expressed his gratitude to Minister Rebia for sponsoring him for the training in Denmark.
