ITANAGAR, Oct 14: Eye screening camp was organized at Donyi Polo Mission School for the Hearing Impaired at Chimpu here for the visually impaired students as part of the World Sight Day (WSD) celebrations on Oct 12 last.
Organised by Ramakrishna Mission Hospital (RKMH) Itanagar in collaboration with Light for the World, Austria and Mission for Vision, Mumbai, the programme also saw the children taking part in various cultural programmes and pantomime on eye care. A drawing competition on the theme ‘Eye Safety’ was also conducted and prizes distributed to the participants.
RKMH Senior Ophthalmologist, Dr. Lobsang Tsetim and Dr. Talum Sorum explained the students about eye safety and care.
Joint Director Medical Education, GoAP, Dr. R. Doye, Donyi Polo Mission FTHI Principal, H. Sharma gave an introduction about the school.
