ANSU says Govt. assures to fulfill demands

ITANAGAR, Oct 15: The All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) in a release said that the State Government has assured to fulfill its demands for smooth functioning of schools.
The Education Minister recently held a meeting with the ANSU leaders and officers of Education Department, wherein the minister assured to post all the required Principals, Headmasters, Post Graduate and Trained Graduate Teachers, as demanded by ANSU, in all the upgraded higher secondary and secondary schools in Nyishi inhabited areas on priority basis by the next academic session.
He assured that the creation of posts of Principal, Vice Principal, Headmaster, PGT and TGT will be placed in the next State Cabinet scheduled to be held next month for consideration.
The Minister also said that demands of the students’ union will be put up immediately before the Chief Minister and Deputy Minister for early redressal, the release said.
While appreciating the Education Minister and officials of the department for responding positively to their grievances, ANSU, however, made it clear that it won’t tolerate any kind of wrong promises, and urged the state government to stick to their assurance.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Education Bidol Tayeng, the DSE, Joint DSE, SPD (SSA), SPO (RMSA), DDEE, the president, general secretary and education secretary of ANSU.
ANSU during July this year had submitted a memorandum to the Education Minister highlighting the problems faced by various schools because of non-posting of the required teachers, principals, vice principals and headmasters.
