ITANAGAR, Oct 17: A team of administrative officials from Capital Complex, along with police on Monday carried out raids in various sectors and colonies and seized gambling materials, which were later reportedly destroyed by the team.
The team led by EAC (Itanagar) Jiken Bomjen and EAC (Judicial) Kiran Ningo found five people engaged in playing dice inside Indira Gandhi Park.
Similar illegal activities were found being conducted at ‘P’ and ‘D’ sectors, near APPSC office gate, Abotani Colony, Division IV tri-junction etc. The team seized all the gambling materials and destroyed them there as well.
Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan cautioned people to refrain from such illegal activities or they would be booked under appropriate section of law under the Arunachal Pradesh Gambling (Prohibition) Act 2012. (DIPRO)
