PASIGHAT, Oct 18: The District Task Force meeting on Intensified Mission Indradhanush(IMI) was held on Wednesday, where Additional Deputy Commissioner (Hq) Tatdo Borang reviewed the preparation of second round IMI scheduled to be held on November 2 next.
Underscoring the importance of IMI, he called upon the medical fraternity to ensure complete success in immunization as targeted under the programme.
He also advised the medical teams in various levels to work devotedly to achieve the goal and further instructed them to avail every possible help from respective administration and ICDS officials, social-workers, and ASHAs so that all eligible children are immunized under IMI.
The ADC also requested the house to spread awareness on cleanliness under Swachh Bharat Mission. Citing example of Ledum village, he called on every village to follow cleanliness to make East Siang district disease-free.
Further, DMO, Dr Mandip Perme informed that East Siang is on the right track and has already immunized more than 90 percent eligible children, but the data is showing a lesser number. Accordingly, he called for proper updates in RCH and HMIS web portal.
He also warned all block level data managers, NHM staff, community mobilizers and ASHAs to comply with their duties with sincerity, failing which, disciplinary action would be taken as per provision.
