ITANAGAR, Oct 20: Galo Indigenous Faith and Cultural Council (GIFCC) condemned the demand of Arunachal Christian Forum (ACF) opposing the creation of the Department of Indigenous Faith & Cultural Affairs (DIFCA).
In a press statement, President of GIFCC Nyamo Doji said that the state cabinet’s decision to create the department was for preservation and protection of the identity of indigenous people of Arunachal Pradesh.
Stating that the ACF’s demand hurt the sentiment of believers of indigenous faith and culture, he said, “One should understand the importance of such step taken by the Government and welcome it rather than oppose it.”
