Sawin inaugurates transformers

KHONSA, Oct 20: Khonsa East MLA Wanglam Sawin on Thursday formally inaugurated two power transformers one each at the SP’s office colony and Power House here on Thursday.
While inaugurating the transformer, Sawin said that procurement of transformers was his priority to address the frequent power disruption.
The two transformers along with Control of Relay Panel costing Rs.50 lakh each was funded under SIDF during 2015 to 2017.
He added that fund under DoTCL (2015-16) amounting to Rs. 50 lakh has been placed for the transformer against Type-III, RKSM, Industries Colony which is under construction.
He further informed that solar energy under APEDA at General Hospital, Khonsa and in various sensitive junction of Khonsa Township was installed last year.
He advised power consumers of Khonsa Township to use LED lamp instead of incandescent bulb to save electricity.
He also asked the Power Department to check theft of electricity by hooking.
Deputy Commissioner PN Thungon, SP Jitendra Kumar Meena, ADC Techu Aran were present on the occasion.
