SEPPA, Oct 23: The Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services (APSTS) on Monday started new bus service on route Seppa to Bana, Seppa to Lamdung, Seppa to Sede and Veo, which was flagged off by Panchayati Raj Parliamentary Secretary cum local MLA Mama Natung.
Addressing the gathering, Natung thanked General Manager APSTS Abu Tayeng and CM Pema Khandu for taking initiative and providing the bus.
He also remembered late Jomde Kena, who during his tenure as Transport Minister took personal initiative to fulfil the promise of starting bus services in the mentioned route, and appealed to the public to make good use of the bus service.
“Our public should understand the importance of transportation. The main motive of starting this service is to help the local vegetable sellers of Seppa to save their hard earned money which they spend in transportation,” said Natung.
He further urged the common public to maintain discipline and cleanliness and to use the public property well.
DC Rajiv Takuk, Station Superintendent of Seppa, Tagok Sorang and DSP S Norbu Phaichelupa were also present in the event.
