KHONSA, Oct 25: Khonsa East MLA cum APSMPB Chairman Wanglam Sawin and Tirap Deputy Commissioner P N Thungon, along with a team of government officers inspected the site for Zonal General Hospital at Khonsa on Tuesday.
During the site visit, both Sawin and Thungon demarcated the boundary of the proposed zonal hospital with the help of Land Revenue and Settlement Department. The DC urged the Land Department to list out government land encroachers and unauthorized building construction within medical compound for immediate eviction.
Later, accompanied by DDSE Pubi Lombi, AE (PHED) Doni, Sawin and DC also inspected the Kendra Vidyalaya, Khonsa.
During the visit, it was informed that computer education of the school has been hampered due to frequent power disruption and there is no water supply in the teachers’ quarters.
However, MLA Sawin has assured for possible help for water supply and instructed the PHE Department for procurement of water pipes, etc.
The MLA and DC also appreciated the hard work of the principal and teaching staff, and urged them to maintain the spirit for better future of the school children.
Other members of the team included ADC Techu Aran, ZPC Sontung Bangsia, DMO Dr N Lowang, DLR&SO Hibu Doley and technical staff of the Land Revenue & Settlement Department.
