‘State Cabinet’s decision will revamp education sector’

ITANAGAR, Oct 26: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has welcomed the State Cabinet’s decision for creation of 1309 teaching and non- teaching posts under the Education Department.
The AAPSU said that one of its long pending demands has been fulfilled, while adding that it was a monumental decision on part of the state government that shall go a long way in revamping the dismal education sector of the state.
The Union meanwhile called upon the state government to overhaul in the Department of Library as well, which it said has been overlooked and neglected.
It further hoped the Union’s demand for Regular Director of NERIST shall materialize soon.
The Arunachal Teachers’ Association (ATA) has also lauded the State Cabinet’s decision and said that the move will bolster the school Education Department in fulfilling the requisite subject teachers and fill up the vacuum that existed for many years.
It further hoped that some pending issues of ATA’s charter of demands, such as modification of TGT RR and the issues pertaining to SSA teachers will be addressed soon.
