ITANAGAR, Oct 26: Following blockades at two points near Government Law College in Jote, the Jote Panchayat Youth Welfare Association (JPYWA) on Thursday resorted to clearing the area on their own on Thursday and opened the path well enough for passage of buses.
The blockades had reportedly interrupted bus services heading towards Bassarnallo and government busses were also affected.
Now that the blockade has been cleared, the JPYWA has appealed to the state government to immediately restore the dilapidated road which connects Jote to Itanagar.
It also requested NGOs and intellectuals to provide their support and services during such times.
