NIRJULI/ ITANAGAR, Nov 3: BEd trainees of Vivekananda Kendra College of Teacher Education (VKCTE) organised a cleanliness drive at Bage Tinali in Nirjuli on November 3.
The students of VKCTE removed dead and stray grasses and groomed the road sides to clean the surrounding area with a special message for the society, which was guided by VKCTE Principal, Dr Minakshi G Sharma.
The Itanagar unit of Galo Students’ Union, Dera Natung Government College also conducted a mass social service programme at the premises of the State Central Library at Itanagar on Friday.
Director of Public Libraries, Jotom Borang appreciated the young participants and exhorted them to promote cleanliness and encourage others to be clean and keep their neighbourhood neat and clean.
Members of the All Tirap Changlang, Namsai and Longding Students’ Union, Itanagar have organized a social service cum tree plantation programme at TCL festival ground, Senki Park in Itanagar on Friday.
Around 50 tree saplings were planted during the programme.
