LIGU, Nov 4: A day-long legal awareness camp was organized by the Upper Subansiri District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) at Ligu village on Saturday to create awareness among women, gaon burahs and the public.
Addressing participants, Upper Subansiri DLSA, Member Secretary, Tailang Laji briefed about the schemes and programmes available under the Legal Aid Services and urged the participants to avail benefits of the same.
Resource persons comprising of advocates P L Murtem, Bushing Konia, Tanga Gamlin, Binjar Bui and Koyar Tamuk deliberated on topics, such as Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005; Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme, 2011; NDPS Act; Motor Vehicle Act; Access to Justice for all under Legal Services Authority Act, 1987; Wild Life Protection Act; POCSO Act and the Juvenile Justice Act, etc.
An interactive session was also held later wherein the participants got their doubts clarified.
