KHONSA, Nov 9: A total of 647 patients including children were benefitted from a three days “Free Medical Health Camp” which was organized by Care Me Home Welfare Society, Khonsa in collaboration with the Arunachal Vikash Parishad, NERCORMP, Tirap and district administration in remote areas of Katang, Chasa and Lazu on Nov 6, 7 and 8 respectively.
A team of doctors including Dr. Anil Joshi, MD, Dr. Jyoti Joshi, MD, from Aurangabadh Medical College, Maharashtra Mumbai, Dr. R B. Mishra from Namsai, Dr. Palash Rakshit, SMO and medical staff conducted the medical camps during the programme.
Attending the health camp at Lazu PHC, Deputy Commissioner, P N Thungon urged people of Lazu in particular and Tirap district as a whole to live a hygienic life and also advised them to use boiled water for disease free life.
Stressing on the need of maintaining cleanliness, he appealed the people to be part of “Swachata Hi Seva” and “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” which are most important flagship programmes launched by the Prime Minister. DC further asked the people to stay away from bad habit like use of Opium.
Tirap ZPC Sontung Bangsia assured to conduct another “mega health camp” at General Hospital, Khonsa.
