ZIRO, Nov 17: The book titled “Orchids Of Ziro: Arunachal,” was released by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein here on Thursday.
The book is authored by Naresh Swami, who has been studying and documenting the orchid flora of Ziro valley since 2015. It is a collection of 150 species, out of a total of 184 orchid species located and studied in Ziro in the Lower Subansiri district.
Mein lauded the effort of bringing out such a scientific book. He also asked the young science students of Arunachal to work in the field of scientific research.
Among others, Parliamentary Secretaries Mama Natung ( IPR) and Tage Taki (Food & Civil Supplies) were present on the occasion.
