Hemanta stresses need to promote state singers

DOIMUKH, Nov 18: Singer Bengia Hemanta advised the Galo Singing Legends Foundation (GSLF) to work for greater interest of singers of the state irrespective of tribe and religion.
He was addressing a programme organized by the GSLF at Doimukh here on Saturday.
He further emphasised on the need to encourage unity among the various tribes of the state.
GSLF Chairman, Nyamo Doje in his address, said that the organization aims to promote peace and harmony in the society through cultural exchange and has in this regard started a mission to document the glorious careers of singing legends of the state.
Earlier in the programme, Hemanta also released a calendar of GSLF on Friday last.
