ITANAGAR, Nov 21: The Capital unit police has succeeded in rescuing a victim, six hours after he was abducted on November 20.
The police informed that on Monday at around 4 PM, one Atiranjan Das of Ganga Market came to Itanagar Police Station and reported that his son had been kidnapped at around 2.30 PM and the abductors had demanded Rs 3 lakh for his release.
A case was immediately registered and teams were formed under the supervision of OC Tabi Bage, ASI A K Jha and others to lay a trap and conduct raids at all possible hideouts.
The operations lasted through the night and subsequently, one Kabak Tama was apprehended from Ganga area in Itanagar and the victim was rescued.
Two other co-accused Tai Kumar and Gem Tara were also arrested from Division-IV area.
Efforts are on to apprehend any other co-accused who are at large.
