ITANAGAR, Dec 1: The 30 days production oriented Theatre workshop programme on theme ” Poong-aai-khaai tum” (Story of a man selling a basket) ended at Namsai Town Club.
The story was adapted from Tai Khampti folktales volume 1 which was written by Chow Therinja Mantow and was directed by Bendang Walling, resource person North East Zone Culture Centre (NEZCC).
The programme was sponsored by NEZCC, Dimapur in association with department of Arts and Culture and District Administrative Namsai.
Namsai Deputy Commissioner R. K Sharma attending the event highlighted the importance of traditional culture of Tai Khampti.
Earlier, District Arts and Culture Officer Sira Meto said that through the workshop was organized for promotion of the Tai-Khampti tradition and cultural heritage.
