PANGIN, Dec 2: The Arunachal Vikas Parishad (AVP) celebrated its silver jubilee year in a function held in West Siang district from November 27 to 29 last.
Addressing the programme, ADC Tamik Talom and DDSE Tanyang Tatak exhorted karyakartas at different levels to work in cohesion to promote the indigenous faith and culture.
AVP Siang District President, Karmur Jerang, highlighted various activities carried out so far by the parishad. The AVP’s State Organizing Secretary, B K Dubey, and Siang unit General Secretary, Tatok Panor, spoke on the role and services of AVP.
In a competition on folklores and Ponung Ababang organised on the occasion, Kerang Ganggng was adjudged the best team and awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000. (DIPRO)
