SAGALEE, Dec 4: Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner, Tai Kaye on Monday visited the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) here to take stock of the situation at the school.
On November 23, three female teachers had stripped 88 students of the school as punishment, and had warned them against informing anyone about the incident.
The incident came to light on November 27 after the All Sagalee Students’ Union filed an FIR against the teachers at the Sagalee Police Station.
During his interaction with the students and teachers, the DC advised them to maintain a congenial atmosphere, and assured that action is being initiated, and that the law would take its own course in the matter.
The DC also interacted with the parents at PWD Inspection Bungalow here, and suggested conducting a parents-teachers-administrative meeting at the Sagalee ADC’s office on December 8, with directions to not involve students in the meeting and to take it in the right perspective.
The DC later visited the government higher secondary school and various other offices to oversee ongoing developmental activities, including Aadhaar enrollment, general and panchayat electoral revision, health and sanitation, and the Din Dayal Upadhyaya Swalamban Yojana.
He also inspected the pending eviction cases of compensated land and cross-verified the minor realignment of the Nichipu-Hoj stretch of the Trans-Arunachal Highway. (DIPRO)
