ANINI, Dec 4: Anini DMO, Dr Senlar Ronya sought cooperation from the Education Department, the Women & Child Development Department and other stakeholders to ensure coverage of all children from 9 months to 15 years old under the Measles and Rubella Vaccination (MRV) campaign, which will begin in the first week of February next year.
Addressing a District Task Force meeting here in Dibang Valley district on Monday, the DMO also urged the Panchayat members to create awareness about the campaign in the villages.
Deputy Commissioner in-charge, Tony Mitkong, advised the DDSE and the CDPOs to coordinate with their subordinate staffs, and assured that the administration will provide all possible help.
WHO RRT, Dr Rahul Chandra highlighted the roles and responsibilities of each department, while DRCHO, Dr K Ori spoke about ways to ensure total coverage under the vaccination campaign.
Dr Ori, however, said that poor road connectivity, remoteness of many habitats, and shortage of government vehicles may create possible problems during the campaign. ZPC Dipen Molo along with various DTFI members also attended the programme. (DIPRO)
