Capital Complex edge past East Kameng 1-0, Papum Pare draw with Namsai
NAHARLAGUN, Dec 10: Capital Complex edged past East Kameng 1-0 in a keenly contested match in the 16thTadar Tang State Level Football Tournament at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium here on Sunday.
Both the teams started the game on an attacking note to take early advantage; but failed to capitalize on the momentum created.
The score remained 0-0 at halftime.
After a barren first half, it was RD Karma of Capital Complex, who broke the deadlock. He scored a goal taking a chance during a goalmouth melee.
Earlier, Papum Pare played out a 1-1 draw with Namsai.
Gyammar Tala put Papum Pare ahead by scoring in the 15th minute, which was equalized by Vivek Gurung a few minutes later.
Lower Dibang Valley will take on West Siang at 12:15 pm on Monday, while the match between Lower Subansiri and Namsai will be played at 2 pm.
