ITANAGAR, Dec 12: The Arunachal Pradesh College Teachers’ Association (APCTA) has extended its support to the nationwide protest rally organized by the All India Federation of University and College Teachers’ Organization (AIFUCTO) on Tuesday in protest against alleged apathetic attitude of the Centre towards their long-pending demands.
However, the APCTA, a federal unit of the AIFUCTO, informed that it could not organize a protest rally in the state capital because of the ongoing end-semester examination in all the colleges of Arunachal Pradesh.
‘It is only in the greater interest of its students that the APCTA abstained from the protest movement, but it fully supports the AIFUCTO’s demands,’ it stated in a release.
