ITANAGAR, Dec 20: Twenty-four units of blood were collected from 50 volunteers during blood donation camp conducted by the state Women Helpline (WHL) and the Arunachal Vivekananda Yuva Shakti (AVYS) at RK Mission Hospital here on Wednesday.
One of the objectives of the camp was to promote the WHL, especially among women. The WHL is a toll-free 24-hour service for women affected by violence and seeking support and information.
AVYS Chairperson Ramesh Jeke spoke on the importance of blood donation.
