ITANAGAR, Dec 20: Asia’s largest electronic dance music (EDM) festival, Sunburn, will be bathing the capital in its lights, come 23 December.
Begun in Goa in 2007, the four-day festival has since moved on to Pune. It has also organised concerts at city festival arenas, besides rocking campus gigs and club tours across the country.
A synergy of music, entertainment, food, shopping, and lifestyle, the Sunburn festival attracts music tourism to India and is now spreading its wings across the globe.
In 2009, CNN ranked it as one of the Top 10 festivals in the world.
Sunburn introduced the Sunburn Arena in 2011, bringing some of the world’s best DJs, like Acivi, Matrix Garix, Armin van Muuren, Marshmallow, and Afrojack to all the major cities of India.
On 23 December, Itanagar-based Blues Initiative will be hosting the ‘Sunburn Reload’ festival at Nyikum Niya ground in Nirjuli. The one-day-only event will be the festival’s introduction to Arunachal Pradesh.
The event will feature DJ Teri Miko, who is known for her highly energetic onstage performances, with her hard hitting Trap Beat-infused electronic sound making her every performance a testament to her passion.
Miko has shared the stage with bass giants like Marshmello, Slander, Dyro, Quintino, and more. Her recent release, ‘Kolavo’, on Spinnin’ Records, has already received support from record producers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and DJs like Tom Swoon and Stadium X. The track has been added to the ‘Spinnin’ Miami Night Mix 2017′ compilation.
Teri’s previous release, ‘Fukuyo’, on Wolf Records last December was supported by record producer Martin Garrix. These tracks are getting huge support on all social mediums and from live audiences.
Teri Miko is also a part of India’s emerging multi-genre music festival, Vh1 Supersonic.
